Full Day Class Certification requires full attendance of class, & successful passing of exam. Parking at CSUB is Free.

All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Referees and other associated Volunteers MUST read & complete the tasks in order to become an AYSO volunteer. 

Complete the online Volunteer Form
Complete & Pass the background check
Complete the Online Training specific to your volunteer category.
Get Trained: Complete the In-Person Training for 10U, 12U, 14U
Show up the in-person SuperCamp Training on August 17th @ CSUB

How to Register as a Volunteer:
 
1. Log-into your specific Region website and click “Register a Volunteer” and click “View Divisions.”
2. Click the “BOX” of the Age Group best fitted for. Then click “View Selected Opportunities.”
3. Click “Select” under the Head or Assistant Coach. Click on your name or New user.
4. Type in user information. After Completing the Form, You will receive an email from your Region saying Thank you.
5. You will SOON receive an email from “Sterling Volunteers” (within 24 hours) to start your background check. Follow the email link & enter your personal info. At the end- DO NOT PAY any money. The Region will pick up the tab. Click the “Will Pay Later” tab.

How to Register for the In-Person SuperCamp Coach or Referee Course

1. Log into our website and click the “My Account” tab then click the “Volunteer” tab then the “AYSOU” tab. It will Lead you straight to the ETRAINU (E-Train-U) website. THIS IS THE WEBSITE TO SIGN-UP FOR IN-PERSON TRAINING
2. Click on “Training Event” This will lead you to a Calendar. Remove your Region & under Location type in “Bakersfield, CA, USA”
3. Click on little arrow to get to August and Click on “8a 10A SuperCamp: Region Referee” on August 17th.
4. Four courses will appear. Click on the “Enroll” tab to register for your specific Coach or Referee Course. Each course will have designated time frames. You MUST stay the whole length of the course & take the written exam to get certified.
5. You will receive an email reply to confirm that you are registered for the course.

For the Coaching Courses:

All Coaches MUST be properly trained in their Age Division they are coaching. 

Log in to Region website and click the “Home” tab then click the “AYSOU” tab

Click on “View Courses” under Coaching, then Click “View Courses” then Click “Enroll” then click “Start.” 
10U Coaches MUST take the “In-Person” 10U Field Training. 
12U Coaches MUST take the online “12U Coaching Training Pre-Course” then attend the “In-Person” 12U Field Training.
14U Coaches (aka Intermediate Coaches) MUST take the online “Intermediate Coaching Pre-Course” then attend the “In-Person” 14U Field Training. *You MUST have 12U Training

3. Take Safe Haven Course by:
a. Click on “View Courses” under AYSO Safe Haven 2024, then Click “Enroll” then click “Start.”
4. Take CDC Concussion Awareness Online Course by:
a. Click on “ENROLL” under CDC Concussion Awareness, then Click “Start.”
5. Take Sudden Cardiac Arrest Online Course by:
a. Click on “ENROLL” under Sudden Cardiac Arrest, then Click “Start.”
6. Take CEU Stewards of the Game Online Course by:
a. Click on “ENROLL” under CEU Stewards of the Game, then Click “Start.”
7. Take the Safe Sport Online Course by: (Adults Only)
a. Click on “ENROLL” under Access your Safe Sport Course Here, then Click “Start.”

Fingerprinting

As of Jan 2024, Every 18 year old Coach/Referee/Volunteer or Player, involved with Youth Sports in California, MUST get Fingerprinted.
• On August 17th, Fingerprinting will be provided at No Cost, with cleared background check.
• You MUST be Fingerprinted for AYSO by AYSO preferred Vendor, no previous fingerprinting will be accepted
